In the unfortunate event that the app struggles to recognise your movements and won’t register your reps, your session will pause and you'll see a 'Lost You!' message on the screen. This is to let you know the app can't see you as it needs to and it will ask you to recalibrate, before restarting your session right where you left off.
There's also a few simple tips you can try, to ensure every ounce of effort is tracked and recognised.
- Exercise in a light and bright environment: If a room is poorly lit, the camera may struggle to pick out the key points on your body. Try turning on some lights, or find a space that is closer to a window. Alternatively, the app can be used outdoors.
- Create contrast: To emphasise the shape of your body, try wearing clothes that contrast with the background environment. For example, if you’re in a bright white room, try wearing something dark and vice versa.
- Try to stay in frame: Once you’ve got your phone setup, try to maintain a consistent exercise “zone” throughout the workout so as to minimise any chance of you leaving the frame. However, we know some movement is natural, especially if giving your all, so the screen will flash a colour and a message to move back into view if the app senses you're moving too close to the edge of the screen.
